Hey I just wanted to announce that DayZ Standalone has been released.

For anyone not knowing what DayZ is I will give you a brief summary. DayZ is a multiplayer game which has real life aspects to it. Like you get diseases, sick, and tired after running. It is set in a Zombie apocalyptic world, which means that you are trying to survive the Zombie Apocolypse. Originally this game was made as a mod for Arma 2, but after having gotten a lot, AND I MEAN A LOT, of likes they have decided to release a Standalone game. We have heard bits about this game being released ever since April of 2012, but Rocket, the mastermind of this game, kept on pushing the release back saying the game will be released when ready. Well finally it is time. I personally have waited since April of 2012 for them to release some version of the game, and now they have finally released the Pre-Alpha...

The game is available in the steam store for 29.99 Dollars...
The computer hardware is very low, so everyone should be able to get if if one is interested.

Now to my point of this post:

I will definitely buy the game within the next three days, and play the shit out of it over the weekend, so I was wondering if any of you will get it as well... I will play with my RL friends, all of them also DayZ fans, but it would be cool if we were to get a group of IMA people and play the game.

Just reply if you are getting the game, and maybe we can set something up on when to play together ;)
Also if there are any questions you can reply, and I will try to clarify ;)

Sounds like a great game. I haven't heard of it until now, but I am a huge zombie nut and am interested. I pretty much read and watch anything zombie or apocalypse related. However, my job is very heavy at the end of each year, so I might not be able to play every day, at this time, but i will likely get this game.

The mod was a blast, even though it had some glitches... Of course this game will have glitches it will be fun... It is even more fun if people coordinate attacks, survival, and defense

It is a good game, but like any Alpha - Beta release it definetly has it's bugs. Unless you want to be a part of the development progress do not get it now, but rather wait until the release to see how the game is

Yeah, I was going to get this, but have noticed that it had many issues in alpha. I have been keeping up on it. I will definitely buy this, however.

I've got it as well. Haven't played a ton, but it's pretty cool. As it's already been stated it's still in Alpha right now so expect bugs. Right now you can get it for $30, but I'm sure once it's released it'll be $50 or $60.
